We had a week here and found everything perfect for our stay. The location is fantastic and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the area. The sun terrace is a great place to sun bathe and it was really hot when we were there. I really enjoy cooking and was in my element in the kitchen with the gorgeous views from its windows. All the rooms were beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean when we arrived. We hired a car which is essential and had some great day trips too. If you are looking for an authentically Tuscan experience then you should definitely consider here.
On the plus side this house is well appointed, spacious and has a secluded location where only the local farmer passes on his tractor. Kitchen is very complete, nice views across the valley. The house is finished to a very good standard. On the minus side upon arrival there was no key, which meant we had to phone the owner in England and luckily he answered his phone. When we got in we then discovered the gas was not connected (no hot water or cooking) which meant another phone call to the owner. The gas could not be rectified until the next afternoon. This was very frustrating when you’ve been travelling all day. We found the house was not cleaned prior to our arrival, as there were plenty of dead insects around and dust everywhere. The beds were not made and during our 10 day stay the promised maid service was absent. We bought two cheap sun loungers which we left behind as there was no comfortable outdoor seating.
In summary, this is a good house and lovely location but it does not appear that the owner is able to give the required level of consideration needed of a holiday let. With very little effort from the owner this could be a lovely place to spend your holiday.
