Walk, run, ride a bike for a fantastic view! Visit shops & restaurants on either shore, stroll thru Coolidge park.

My wife and I typically go for walks early in the morning when traveling as a way to make sure we get at least some exercise. In Chattanooga we walked from the Marriott Hotel through town to the aquarium, up the hill and across the Walnut Street Bridge before returning back through town to the hotel. That had us crossing the bridge at daybreak and the view along the river is outstanding. I highly recommend it.

It took a little exploring to find the bridge, however when found, we had an enjoyable stroll over it and back. There are great views of the river and at the Hunter Museum side wonderful sculptures to check out. There’s construction going on at the city side, however when completed it’s going to be a great pedestrian area.
