We had to be in the Hermitage area and decided to give Cafe Bosna a try which turned out to be a great food decision!

First of all, the location isn't the most convenient one you'll find, but there was plenty of parking when we arrived. The service was personal and so friendly! You can view the menu online before you arrive at the restaurant's website. Not all of the specials are available every day, but most of them were available to us today.

We started off with the spinach dip, and one of our party tried the soup of the day which was a butternut squash soup. The dip was heavenly and served with loads of pita bread. The soup was sweeter than expected but still amazing and also came with pita bread.

We selected two entrees - the spinach pie and the stuffed peppers. I've attached photos, but we received generous portions of both entrees which also came with salads.

Then despite being stuffed to the gils, we split a piece of baklava (easily enough for two people) and paired that with Turkish coffee.

This was an incredible meal. If you're tired of food that tastes like what you eat everywhere else, then you want to try this restaurant.

Two important notes - they're not currently open all day, every day. Check the website for hours. Also, they don't serve alcohol, but you bring your own wine with a minimal corkage fee.

Give it a go! This is food to come back and eat again.

Our dinner experience involves moans & moments of shear indulgence. My wife ate the gloriously fresh cabbage salad which was the accompaniment to my meal...& she never eats fresh veggies due to her high bitter sensitivity.
The owner was so sweet as she took our order & told us about meal options.
The Bosnian spinach pie's pastry was unexplainably good. It paired perfectly with my German inspired pork loin with brot & sausage meal.
Don't leave without a baklava. We didn't.

A little skeptical about the shabby storefront, but we walked in because the parking lot was busy. Once we saw Trip Advisor on the door, we were more comfortable. The food was amazing. Expensive restaurant quality in a no frills spot. The staff could not have been more gracious, welcoming and attentive. The decor is not fancy, but if you want good food that is authentic, delicious and reasonable-go here.

Tucked away in a small strip mall at the intersection of Old Hickory and Central Pike in Hermitage, this restaurant serves up some fabulous food. Desserts like baklava bring tears to your eyes! Been there many times and it feels like I was transported to Eastern Europe. The owner is endearing and personally prepares all of the food. Authentic . .take time to chat with her. She is charminng.
