Description: Wellington's Restaurant is "the dining experience" in Johnson City Tennessee, and will quickly become a favorite to those who desire an exquisite culinary experience in a relaxing setting. With focus on exceptional service and style, Wellington's menu features a Southern American Cuisine, created by their Executive Chef, Heather Ricker. Filled with antique structures, encompassed by warm mahogany and cherry woods, the grand dining room combines a warm, intimate atmosphere with an unforgettable array of tantalizing treats. One antique structure you won't want to miss is the antique bar salvaged from an old bar in Chicago, but Wellington's antique bar is serving up more than just history. Featuring Johnson City's most comprehensive selection of top quality bourbons and whiskeys, as well as an assortment of wines, and spirits for any occasion.

Delicious country breakfast served in a very pretty room. When this Hotel was rebuilt, it kept that romantic old time charm.

This is our second try at Wellingtons, and it was a let down. The menu lacked substantially and seemed more like a bistro of sorts. I ordered the Salmon and I must say I was quite delicious, however that was the only appealing entree. The atmosphere makes it seem like a great quality restaurant, one that I know it could be with a little refining, there is great potential here, but someone is not putting the effort in. I was also disappointed in the quality of service, they need more training and to take more pride in their job.

Ok Wellingtons WAKE UP! You have been great in the past, but this last time was a disappointment. You seem to want to serve only bar food, but in a fancy atmosphere, what happened to your finer dinner menu? Your specials were lacking, seriously, appetizers as specials? If I am going to lay down some serious money, which I did in September celebrating my fathers birthday, then you better wow me. Your menu is NOW so uninspired that everything on it I can cook at home with better ingredients from "The Fresh Market". If I wanted mediocre food, I will just go downtown Johnson City.

The bar is great. Excellent bartenders and servers provide spot-on drinks (a perfect, perfect Manhattan) and are real pros. The food is silly, kind of "Hey, 1989 called and wants it's "deconstructed" Beef Wellington back!" and moderately well prepared. Nothing offensive, just more like a "Ruth's Chris wannabe in a replica 19th Century reproduction space.

Don't get me wrong, the bar is worth the visit, and snacks good, especially impressed with local goat cheese from my pals at Oakmoon Farm and Dairy.

Guests are a blend of hotel patrons (mostly ETSU Families and wedding parties, with a smattering of "let's have fancy dinner night" locals. Frankly, quite charming.
