In March, we stayed at the Knoxville Hilton for a night, between the Inn at Little Washington, in Washington, VA, and a wine event at Blackberry Farm, in Walland, TN. We structured this trip and stay, to dine at the restaurant of one of the departed chefs at Blackberry Farm, but that was not to be, due to a fire in the restaurant. We then found ourselves in downtown Knoxville, with our plans falling through, but the Hilton, and its staff, made the stay worth our while.

This was our first actual stay IN Knoxville, though in our youth, we traveled to the Smoky Mountains often, and for the last 15 years, have been traveling to Blackberry Farm. We just never really got TO Knoxville, but were all around it many times.

This Hilton is so very similar to many, which we stay at, in our travels. We probably sleep in a hotel 200 nights per year, and mostly on business. This was, however, a vacation trip.

The Hilton Knoxville is right in the “center of town,” at 501 W Church Ave, and across the street from the University of Tennessee Conference Center, and only blocks from Market and Gay Streets, and the Charles Krutch Park. It was also just a long block from our intended dining destination, J. C. Holdway, at 501 Union St.

We are HHonors Diamond members, and were greeted well. We had room 1712, on the Concierge Level, with a view of the Tennessee River, beyond part of downtown Knoxville. The room was pretty much “Hilton issue,” but very nice, completely clean, and very, very quiet. It featured a comfortable King bed, a small sofa by the window, and separate bathroom with a single sink and nice counter. We had a large TV, atop a functional chest of draws, an adequately-sized desk, and a cabinet with a small ‘fridge. The closet was adequate, and contained a safe, iron and ironing board. We had a “Hilton issue” Cuisinart 1-2 cup coffee maker w/ coffee caddy. The tub/shower was adequate, with handrails, and we had plenty of hot water. There were also convenient hooks for towels, or other items. The closet held all of our clothes (for a 10 night trip), a safe mounted on the floor, and an iron and ironing board.

The room had plenty of AC outlets for charging devices, so we could plug in everything we were carrying.

The AC was a floor-mount/wall-mount unit, but I cannot comment on how loud, or quiet it was, since with the cold weather, the room temp was ideal, without heat, or cooling.

The hotel is very conveniently located, and we were able to walk to everything we needed, in the downtown area. We just parked our car (valet, but I never did see the cost of that), and did not use the car, until we departed Knoxville for Blackberry Farm.

We stopped into the bar/restaurant in the attractive lobby, and had good service. There is a convenient coffee stand, across from the restaurant. We also visited the HHonors VIP Lounge, and found it to be very nice, albeit small. The manager was very nice, and quite friendly. During our stay, we used the Concierge (Reservations Agent), when we found out that J. C. Holdway was closed, and got good dining recs. on the Park.

A very nice stay, with friendly staff. While not unlike many Hilton properties, in many ways, the staff made our stay memorable.

Room Tip: Rm 1712 was very good, quite and with a limited view

We stay here annually during Big Ears. The hotel is centrally located between lost of the venues. It is a short walk to Market Square and some of the best chefs in the region! We like the Executive Level Coinciere Room. Due to scheduling of the venues, sometimes we are hard pressed to take time to eat. Starting with a nice warm breakfast and then late afternoon lite menu, plus sodas, fruit, snack bars to drop by for is perfect. The new MULTI COFFEE, LATTE, MOCHA, HOT CHOCOLATE MACHINE IS FABULOUS!!!

Older hotel right in the old downtown. Went for a single night for ST Paddy day.
Close to the Market district which is very nice.
Hotel is a little dated but the service and staff are fantastic.
Parking for self park was 14 and 20 for Valet...
Breakfast was good. There is a Starbuck in the lobby.
Great view from the 18th floor. They have a private room for Hilton Honors members ..
We loved the place..No issues at all.

This hotel is staffed with very friendly people who really do their best to make you feel welcome and enjoy your stay. Booking was simple and quick. The only suggestion I have is continental breakfast would be a great addition for the price of the stay. It's beautiful and clean though!

This hotel gets it right. It is a very nice option for the city, particularly if you are a business traveler or want to stay in a more high-end establishment. There may not be a lot of options for this type of hotel in Knoxville, especially in terms of the service and quality of product. The Hilton provides the business traveler with a polished, consistent product at this location.

The front desk was excellent. They definitely pamper Hilton Honors guests. The lobby is small but comfortable. There is a Starbucks on site. The hotel seems updated, my room was very nice.

Located centrally downtown. Walking distance to the convention center and market square.

Very pleased overall. Would stay here again.
