“Absolutely beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings ”

We LOVED this house. We stayed here with our two boys (8&6) for a wedding in the area for four nights. Margo had left us homemade scones and jam on our arrival which were amazing along with essentials such as tea and coffee...She couldn't do enough for us and was so lovely with our children! (She even helped by printing our boarding passes off for us as I broke my phone whilst there so was panicking about our flight home!) She was lovely and the house was like a home away from home. It had everything we could've wanted including some toys and dvds for the kids! The cottage is beautifully decorated being homely enough not to worry about keeping it immaculate as margo was only next door!!! The location is stunning with 360 views of countryside and a lovely kept pristine garden. Great location to explore - very central an near the main road by far enough up the track to feel like your in the middle of nowhere. You couldn't hear any traffic or cars or see anything except nature. Views were fantastic too. Not one fault for the place... Will definitely be looking at booking again..
Also rossnowlagh (where our friends got married) is a lovely place - we even learnt to surf!

“Charming, peaceful, wonderful place to relax!”

Carraig Gorm is a well kept, clean, beautiful place to relax and enjoy the scenery of northern Ireland. From the peaceful bleeting of the sheep to the beautiful view of the lake, this place provides a haven of tranquility. It was so wonderful to come home from a day of sight seeing and fix a quick meal in the fully appointed kitchen and sit in the little dining room with windows all around and relax. Margo, the owner, lives nearby and was always ready to help with any questions we had. I recommend this vacation rental very highly!!!

Fantastic Welcome, Margo could not do enough to make our stay perfect. The location was lovely, close enough to all amenities e.g. petrol station, shops, restaurants, bar, places to visit using great road connections, beaches, places of interest. The accommodation was first class, with everything we wanted and much more besides.

“Home away from home”

My parents and I stayed with Margo at Carraig Gorm for 5 wonderful nights. The house is stunning and Margo really pays attention to every detail. We were treated to some fresh scones on arrival which were delicious.
Three bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 1 ensuite shower room give you plenty of facilities. The ensuite is also situated downstairs so is ideal for an elderly relative or those with disabilities.
The lounge and master bedroom have stunning views over Donegal Bay and on towards the Slieve League mountains, it was a pleasure to wake up and settle down to these views each night.
The house is situated, a little way up a farm track, from the main Ballyshannon to Donegal Town road and Donegal Town is a mere 5 minutes drive away.
Donegal Town provides a wonderful base for exploring the county as well as Sligo, Leitrim, Fermanagh and even Northern Ireland. Margo provides plenty of detail for exploring the local area.
I've already recommended Carraig Gorm to others and I also hope to be able to return in the not too distant future. Thank you Margo!

“A peaceful getaway with all our home comforts and mod cons”

We had a delightful week at Carraig Gorm with blustery sunny mild weather and some showers. The accommodation is quite private and spacious and is very comfortably furnished with modern equipment and wifi. The information guide is detailed and very helpful and its a good venue for birdwatchers and walkers. From beaches to mountains and lush lake environs - all are accessible, as well as the Irish buzz of Donegal town. So peaceful and so restful but full of interest. Sheep bleat contentedly in nearby fields and there is an abundance of birds. Margo is a good host offering great hospitality and at the same time space and privacy.
