Description: Welcome to the Man O'War Bar and Restaurant, North County Dublin's most authentic Irish venue, established in 1595. With our thatched roof, whitewashed walls and superb traditional style bar, lounge & restaurant, our setting is a picture to behold. Set in the heart of Ireland's agricultural hub, our close proximity to the airport and motorway make us an ideal first stop or as a stop-off point for lunch or coffee and a scone on your excursions around the many castles, golf courses and excellent other amenities of interest in the Fingal region

Man O War is a friendly traditional restaurant. The big tv screen might be off putting but was perfect on All Ireland semi final day and there was a great atmosphere at the end even though it was family groups dining. Food is freshly prepared and my dinner was very tasty particularly the sauce. Range of desserts was also excellent. Recommend for family gatherings! I have been here a number of times over the years and it is consistently good although it definitely seems to have improved recently.

Having gazed, intrigued, at the road sign by the old Dublin road for years, the brother and I finally took the detour to this old pub, located in the heart of the townland by the same name, near Balbriggan. In fact, it is the pub, which dates back more than 400 years, that lends it's name to the neighbourhood.
It has a thatched roof and the well groomed appearance of a lucrative tourist attraction and, yes, there's a tree growing in the bar.
Best of all, though, it has cheerful, welcoming staff who are knowledgeable about their food, wine and beer. We both had a glass of chilled white wine and the fisherman's pie that was topped with choux pastry and accompanied by a medley of vegetables that were cooked to perfection.
Loved this place so much, I'm planning a return visit.

Friendly staff good food and interesting history. Stew was a perfect way to heat up after walking the 5-6km in the rain from Balbriggan to get here . Will definition visit again.

My husband and I are regular visitors to the Manowar after recently moving back to the area.

The menu has a great selection of dishes with something to suit everyone. There is also a separate kids menu. After trying quite a few different dishes we have never been disappointed!

You can also enjoy a lovely bottle or glass of wine from the excellent wine list or try one of the craft beers available.

The Manowar offers fantastic food, really great value for money and a friendly and homely atmosphere! I would highly recommend a visit!
