Stayed in Hyacinth -lovely room with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. Afternoon home-made scones with Jersey cream and strawberry jam are a must...Prosecco on arrival is a nice touch. Piano in the lounge is sadly out of tune. A Yamaha electric instrument makes a great sound and never needs tuning.

We had stayed at the hotel some years ago, and found it had changed very little.
The food was excellent and the staff really helpful and professional.
The hotel has the feel of staying in private country house, very relaxing.

Enjoyed our two night stay, very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely peaceful, location. Disappointed not having tea/ coffee making facilities in the room and a hair dryer would have been nice. Good food at the local pub, 5 minutes down the road.

Room Tip: facilities to make hot drinks as stated above.

Thanks for posting a review following your recent stay. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay overall.

Regarding tea & coffee we much prefer to serve tea & coffee properly on request rather than provide basic room facilities which are often not used. This enables us to keep room rates down as well. Hairdryers are provided in all rooms so unsure why you were unable to locate but just ask if need assistance.

Glad you enjoyed the pub. Since the Chateau has taken over we've become the only Michelin recommended pub in the island and getting some great reviews. Hope to see you again soon.

Went to this Hotel for. birthday tea, it was one of the worst teas we have had. There were no brown bread sandwiches but thick unappetizing white ones ,the scones were rock hard so hard and cold could hardly eat them well didn't had to ask for butter .. The cakes were stale lemon drizzle cakes were dry and stale . I am sorry to say we will not be going to this Hotel in future for tea.

Thanks for the review but I was very surprised to read your comments. We serve lots and lots of afternoon teas at the hotel and very rarely hear anything adverse, I don't believe anything was mentioned on the day either so I can only apologise if this was the case.

It's a shame you felt unable to let us know prior to writing your review as your comments don't reflect the norm however if you would like contact me I would be happy to discuss further and resolve any issue you may have.
