We had a large family gathering here and I was sceptical, however, I was so wrong. I had roast beef and it was fantastic, all the other meals were equally as good. The staff were really friendly and great with the small children in our party. A word to parents, bring some colouring or something to amuse the children in between courses.

We will definitely return, I highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

One of our regular stops while out cycling. Lovely selection of cakes. Took friends here for an afternoon visit, by car. Ladies enjoyed the shopping. The menu looked very nice, will be back to try out.

Having not visited Bickleigh mill for over 3=20 years, I returned whilst on a short break to the area. We only stopped for a bite to eat and a drink, as it was snowy underfoot and quit chilly!! We purchased 2 'hot beef ciabatta with horseradish mayo and fries'....OMG, it was the best. I am, undeniably, a bit of a foodie having been in the trade for well over 35 years and it has to be said, that was the best hot beef/steak ciabatta I have ever had. Complemented by a lush crisp salad, hot fries and some very special pickled onions....could not be faulted, great value, fabulous service by the ladies and an all round fab experience. One not to be missed!!! Thank you all :-)

Thank you so much for your kind words especially as you are one of us!!As you know we aim to get it right all the time but on occasion it doesn't quite go to plan and you have to hold up your hands and take it on the chin. By the same token it makes you feel great when your efforts are recognised and in this instance we all feel good! I will pass on your support to all our staff and see you in another twenty years (if only!)

We called in on Sunday to have a meal and the place was full, however the young man that we spoke to sorry name forgot, found a table for the three of us. One had roast beef, one stuffed peppers and one haddock, followed by lovely desserts. The people serving were very helpful and friendly, we so liked the fact that they pointed out from the beginning that as so very busy there was a twenty minute waiting time and was that ok for us. Can’t wait to return

You can walk along the lovely river walk and enjoy an amazing cream tea (although they have other options!). Great staff and a lovely setting. Highly recommended.

Thanks for your kind words and as you say there's a whole lot more on offer from a great shop to an array of homemade food to suit everyone.
