Very well hidden in the deepest countryside of South Hams. So very peaceful, we were so very lucky with the weather at this time of the year which helped to make our visit so lovely.Perfect combination for a successful holiday , lovely accomadation, lovely hosts, beautiful weather and local tasty food in some really good local pub restaraunts.
Hosts Sue and Piers were always on hand to help and answer any questions we had regarding the local area. Would certainly recommend if a peaceful holiday is your requirement.

The Barn was an absolute delight for all the family (mum, dad and 8 & 13 year old boys) and Izzy the dog. Inside was clean and spacious, with everything you could need in the kitchen, laundry room and lounge area. The French windows lead onto the patio, and so we had half our meals as barbecues in the garden. There was a generous welcome basket with fresh bread, coffee, eggs, gorgeous jam, local apple juice and chilli chocolate. The barbecue, log burner, dishwasher and washing machine were all well supplied, and ready to go.
The boys were free to visit the animals - pigs, horses, Jack the dog, and numerous chickens. They collected eggs, fed the chickens and played on the trampoline, too, several times each day.
Home grown sausages were delicious.
Piers and Sue made excellent, friendly and relaxed hosts.
All very well thought-out and equipped, and beautifully maintained.
Thank you!

We had a wonderful week at The Barn in August 2014. As we stepped out of the car, we were all taken aback by the stunning scenery that surrounds the farm - it really does take your breath away!
The Barn itself makes for a perfect stay, everything you could want for is provided, (even free Wi-fi which was a necessity for our teenage daughter!) Piers and Sue are the perfect hosts and should congratulate themselves on making this a perfect home from home. The welcome hamper on arrival is amazing as are the bacon and sausages from the home bred pigs on the farm!
If you can tear youself away from the farm, there are amazing walks on the doorstep but if you want to venture a little further there are great beaches a short drive away.
We visited most of the places already mentioned in previous reviews. There is so much to do in the area - you definitely won't be bored.
We definitely intend on returning having thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing week here.

We had a great stay at the Barn. The location is difficult to beat, surrounded by rolling Devon hills and not far from some of the best South Devon Beaches.
You can walk to Beesands and it's not long in the car to get to sandy beaches like East Portlemouth and (further West) Bigbury and Bantham.
The owners were fantastic showing us around the farm and giving a warm welcome. The boys loved feeding the pigs and collecting eggs.
Once settled in the Barn has a brilliant sun soaked private garden and there's also a big field, with great views, which is perfect for the kids to play ball games, and
great for star gazing later on.
The Barn is very well equiped with everything you need. We can't really think of a single thing to fault it and we had a really relaxing time.
We like to try different places but this might be one of those very rare places that needs a return visit. We'd highly recommend the Barn for a family holiday.

A beautiful well equipped home-from-home that meant we could come on holiday with our dog and enjoy the amazing scenery and walks in the area. I would definitely come back again and would recommend to anyone. The food hamper for when you arrive was a lovely touch as was being able to collect your own eggs from the hens every day.
