It says on the website that they are open until 5; however they stopped serving meals at 3.
They look to have a nice varied menu.
We had a lovely hot chocolate made with milk( very important), marshmallows, cream and a flake... Very artistic.
We had one of the best sausage rolls ever... With chorizo in.
We also sampled the Blondie and orange polenta cake.
We wandered into the beach to watch the sun go down.
Lovely end to the day.

Cold and windy on the beach. Hot chocolate and burger at the gastrobus delicious. Would highly recommend a visit!

Visited the original Gastrobus once before and had the best burgers ever. We called back the beginning of October on a lovely sunny day. Charged £3.50 just to go to the Gastrobus on the beach. Got there just before 2pm and there was a queue of 6 in front of us. The chap in charge then told us all that he was not serving any more food - at least 8 meals he turned away. I asked him why and he said he finished at 3pm and needed the time to clear up. Having read through previous reviews, the owner says "the staff are carefully chosen for their manners and cheerfulness". Nothing about helpfulness, cleanliness or customer service! This chap looked very scruffy with untidy longish hair and no cap or apron. In fact, after speaking to him, I wouldn't want to eat food that he had prepared. Top marks to the lad on the gate: when we told him we couldn't get any food, he gave us our money back. I don't know if the owner knew he stopped serving food at 2pm, but there were lots of disappointed visitors around and he probably cost the business quite a bit of money and certainly plenty of goodwill.

we always like to look into any reviews that do not meet our usual standards. could you please tell me which day you where at Bantham when this happened so i can check the sales log for times of food orders . We normally stop hot food at 3pm this time of year and is this is also dependant on the weather and the managers discretion
i look forward to hearing back from you

Visited with friends on a trip to Bantham Beach. We all said that it was the best 'outdoor food' ever tasted and even better than the burgers and baps eaten in cafes and restaurants across the country. Well worth a visit! We will be back!
