I have seen no review on North Hayne Farm that is less than five star - and there is a reason for this - it is excellent. I have nothing but praise for Roger and Cheryl and their family and staff - who work hard and do everything possible to ensure that everyone has a lovely time. We have been visiting the farm since our eldest grandson was under two - he is now 10 and still leaves North Hayne asking when we are going back (obviously that will be next year - how could we disappoint him?). His sister loves it just as much, as does our newest grandson who has just had his first visit at 18 months old. It is a warm and wonderful place - perfect family holiday - we are always excited to go and always very sad to leave.

Room Tip: Speak to Cheryl and tell her your needs - she will happily and honestly describe the cottages for you.

My wife booked a "surprise" weekend for my 60th birthday and unbeknown to me, our entire close family were there too. 16 family members over four generations. We were one of the first guests when Cheryl and Roger took on the business in 2004, so were thrilled to see all the brilliant changes they have made.

C & R are the perfect hosts, right from helping my wife to organise the weekend (in secret) to playing along when we got there! Cheryl has a remarkable capcity for remembering names and had our grand-childrens memorised almost instantly, which was a lovely personal touch.

The cottages themselves are beautifully appointed with every conceivable item you might need on a self catering break. Ours had a hot-tub, which was great to relax in after my frenetic birthday celebrations!

The children loved feeding all the farm animals, goats, lambs, pigs, alpaca's plus rabbits, guinea pigs and all sorts. They even got to hold baby chicks. So educational, without the kids even realising.

Ducks and Geese wander about the court yard if they want to and there's donkey rides for the children as well.

There are walks nearby and the cottages are packed full of really useful information on local attractions both close by and a bit further afield. We were only there for a weekend break, but it would be a fabulous base for a week (or more) to explore North Devon.

Can't speak highly enough of the whole set up at North Hayne - well done Cheryl and Roger.

Room Tip: Take a look at the website. We were in Squirrel Nutkin with my elderly parents. Stairs were a bit taxing for the very "oldies", not for us!

How lovely it was to see you all again and especially gratifying that you all wanted to return to Devon to share a very special weekend here. Organising 'secret' breaks are a fabulous challenge for us and I assure you that we loved every minute too! We were so pleased also, to have the opportunity of showing you what had been happening on the farm over the last few years and are thrilled you all were impressed and have already booked to return. May it be the 1st of many return trips. Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your experience.

Just returned from our week away here, we stayed in the Tom Kitten cottage.
Lovely hosts, very welcoming and accommodating, and very patient with the kids!!
Cottage was very well equipped, everything you could need for self catering and then some!!
Daily animal feeding is lots of fun!
Cream teas are delicious!
It's also a good base for exploring Combe Martin, ilfracombe and Lynton!

Just back from a fantastic week at North Hayne Farm. The accommodation and facilities are perfect for a toddler friendly holiday but it is the little extras that make this place so special! We arrived to a birthday gift for our daughter who just turned 2! The personalised touches continued throughout the week and our daughter (and us) made new friends with the other holiday families (and animals). The highlight of the time at the farm was definitely feeding time each day and the donkey rides! We could see our daughter's confidence grow with the animals each day. Cheryl, Roger, Reg and Jenny are the perfect hosts and somehow manage to make a holiday with a toddler relaxing.

Just back from an amazing week at the farm with a 4 year old, 2 year old and a 10 week old. The children loved animal feeding and the donkey rides and were so sad to leave - we've had to promise a return visit! Highlight for us was goat walking and bat spotting, which our 4 year old loved!
We loved evenings in the hot tub with a glass of Prosecco and having happy, tired children at the end of every day.
Cheryl and Roger do everything to make life easier for you and we can't fault North Hayne farm. Thanks so much for a wonderful week! We hope to be back soon!!

Lovely review, thank you very much. Being sad to leave is always such a good sign of happy holiday memories and we are really pleased you all loved the goat walking and Bat walk These have been very popular activities this year. Tired, happy children that allowed you some grown up time in the hot tub is always our aim! We look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
