We have stayed in Squirrel Cottage twice now, and absolutely LOVE it. It's beautiful and comfy and feels like we've arrived home the moment we walk in the door. It is idyllically situated on the outskirts of the village next to the village church, with just the sounds of birds for company. And there are lots of thoughtful touches that make our stay even more perfect. The kids adore the baskets of toys. The home baked cake and other goodies are delicious. And even our dog had been thought of, with a dog bowl, treats and a blanket. On that note - don't let the fact that dogs are allowed put you off staying. It is SPARKLINGLY clean and beautifully presented. We'll be back next year!
Wonderful cottage with warm homely feel. Welcome pack was a lovely gesture. Couldn't ask for more.
Kay ensured we had a weekend to remember.
A fantastic cottage with beautiful bedding, amenities and a fully equipped kitchen. Excellent layout for families, two bedrooms upstairs and a bedroom downstairs for older children/grandparents.
Excellent location for exploring Exeter and the surrounding coastal area. The welcome pack was a bonus and scones a lovely treat!
Would highly recommend this cottage and is a real home from home. Hope to return again soon!
We love staying at Squirrel Cottage it is a perfect English country cottage in a beautiful scenic setting beside the picturesque ancient church at the heart of Woodbury; just a short walk to the village shops or to country lanes for stroll. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable with a ground floor luxury bathroom and outside sheltered patio for relaxing and eating in fine weather. We going there again next month!
A great cottage for elderly grandparents, middle aged parents and grown up children with ground floor bedroom and bathroom for the oldies, and upstairs bedrooms for middlies and youngsters. Kay provided a really welcome and unexpected basket of scones, cream, jam, nibbles and (most importantly) milk and tea bags for a really needed cuppa. Kay was also very helpful in allowing us to cancel/postpone a previous booking at last minute due to extreme snow, and boy was the weather different this time. A delightful and well equipped cottage, close to the sea, in a very nice village with all you need locally (pubs x 2 and local shop plus antique stores).
