Had a one night stay in room 1 as my other half had a business meeting so we thought we would make a little break of it as 3hr drive from us each way. Staff very friendly, room was huge with nice view out to the bay, very clean. Busy bar with nice atmosphere and we booked a table for dinner that evening. Food was great, we shared a seafood platter....scallops, calamari, prawns and muscles followed by steak for me and pork chop for my partner. Food was great, service was great and breakfast in the morning was more than sufficient. Would definitely stay again. Very welcoming and worth a trip.

Needed local venue at short notice for a wake after funeral. The West Bay was suggested, they were able to fit us in and provide a buffet. Buffet had a good selection of food including chips, sadwiches, fresh rolls bread, super selection of cold meats & cheeses, pickles & sauces. The 'piece de resistance' along with the staff, however were the pork pies, locally produced I believe, were superb! Best pork pie I have ever tasted, and my son also agreed ( he's a foodie). So Well Done West Bay Hotel, you did us proud! Very, very pleased.A huge Thank You. Jayne

My wife and I are walking the South West Coast Path and it greatly helps us to restore ourselves in readiness for the next day of walking and this hotel certainly fills the bill. Our room was exceedingly comfortable with very tasteful decor and also a very large en-suite. We eat in the hotel and the meal was superb (halibut). It would be really good to stay there again.

This was such a brilliant location and place for us to stay for our mini break. We wanted to visit the broad church area and loved it. We ate here and at the beautiful station just around the corner on our final evening. Perfect staggering distance. A brilliant hotel located in the heart of west bay next to a fine dining restaurant and beach.

Wonderful welcoming staff & exquisite food enjoyed by all my family and friends.

The dishes are to die for. Ranging from locally caught fish and local meats and produce. Cooked to perfection by expert chefs.
We all throughly enjoyed our visit to this charming hotel set right on the Jurassic beach.
Well done The West Bay Hotel, bravo!
