As locals we consider ourselves privileged to have Jaxsons in our town. We drop by sometimes several times a week to buy the very best tasting ham and cheeses in town, and/or to enjoy a delicious coffee or tea, and when we're feeling naughty, one of their tempting home-made cakes - the lemon frangipan tart is totally irresistible, as is the hazelnut torte, so we're naughty more often than we should be!
The menu is extensive and varied and all meals use local and fresh ingredients wherever possible, which is important to us. Everything is perfectly prepared and always delicious. If you haven't got time to sit and relax, they will provide a takeaway.
Unsurprisingly, as word gets round, this lovely little place is becoming more popular. However, all customers, new or regular, are greeted warmly, but as 'regulars' we feel more like friends and if we cheekily ask for a slight variation from the menu it is never any problem.
This started off as a deli and has expanded into a restaurant, so besides an extensive range of interesting foods there are unusual gifts to browse whilst enjoying one's cuppa! It is our first choice for refreshments, and a little chatty catchup, whatever time of day.
