“Relaxing holiday in a lovely cottage with great views of the sea”
Reviewed 17 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

A lovely clean little cottage beautifully furnished and decorated with everything provided for a self catering holiday. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, especially the wine which is just what my partner and I needed after our long drive from London. There are wonderful views from the rear of the cottage of the sea, harbour, beach and the birds. We enjoyed the coastal walks and then afterwards sitting in the little rear terrace listening to the sea and birds and watching the world go by.
Crail is a very pretty village with a pottery, art gallery, tea shop, bakers, grocers, health food shop all nearby. Crail golf course is about 10 minutes drive away.
There is no wifi in the cottage and the moble phone signal is weak but that didnt worry us as we wanted 'to get away from it all' for a week and thats just what we did.
There is easy parking on the street outside the front door.
A perfect cottage in a perfect location.
We will definately return to this lovely property.

We are a family of 4 (2 kids aged 9 & 11). We stayed for 3 nights. The cottage has an excellent location overlooking the harbour and offers a good view over the Forth. It is really well presented with clean and fresh decor throughout. It still retained its 'ye olde' charm however. The owner left a bottle of wine on our visit which was nice and also had a stock of washing up liquid. dish washer tablets cloths as well as basics like salt, pepper and cooking oils which was great. I would definitely recommend a stay here. 3 days wasnt enough.

“Fabulous Cottage - Great location”

We stayed in the cottage for 7 nights and loved it. Great location, well furnished, everything you need for a self catering holiday, which we needed after 2 months on the road staying in b & bs! Crail is a lovely village, not busy like St. Andrews, so the cottage was a great location. Crail has lovely fresh seafood at the harbour, a great pub and great walks and golf. Highly recommend and we will be back. Note there is no wifi at the cottage, so we went each morning to the Honeypot guest house for a cup of tea and coffee and they were lovely and friendly.

“Lovely cottage, very helpful owner.”

We had a great stay- everything you could need was provided for, including an excellent welcome pack.

We had a problem when we arrived (of our own making) which the owner sorted straight away despite the time we called.

Overall a lovely cottage. Maximum I would recommend to stay would be 2 adults and 2 kids, any more would be a bit of a squeeze. Also, there is no internet and the mobile signal is weak so if this is important to you, you need to plan for that. However, most of the cafe's and restaurants in Crail have internet so it wasn't a problem for us.
