“We fell in love with the cottage”

Travelled with my partner and our wee dog, we fell in love with the cottage as soon as we arrived. Everything was ready for our arrival and some personal touches which made the difference. The cottage is very private and in a quiet location. Or dog had a ball in the garden which was fully enclosed so he could wander about without being able to get out. The hot tub was ready for use when we arrived and it was lovely sitting in it at night watching the world go by. The cottage is also close to anstruther so a trip the the anstruther fish bar is a must!
Overall we had a great stay here and will definately be back, couldn't fault anything.

“Scottish hospitality at its best!”

We stayed at the most recent addition to Newhills Farm Cottages at the weekend and we were hugely impressed! Railway Crossing Cottage is a traditional cottage which has been sympathetically restored and extended to provide self catering accommodation of the highest standard. There's a beautiful open plan kitchen (fully equipped)/dining and lounge area which just floods with sunlight all day and at night the wood-burning stove is a joy to sit around. The outdoor hot-tub on the deck is ideally placed to take in the massive skies and views and we were even fortunate enough to witness 6 shooting stars due to the rural location. That said there is plenty to do in the surrounding area with numerous picturesque fishing villages and beaches and St Andrews is within a stones throw. For the more adventurous try the chain walk at Ellie, keep a watchful eye on the tide!

Overall the high standard of this accommodation, its location, the attention to detail and friendliness of the owners, Ian and Kate, will guarantee a break to remember and we will most certainly be visiting again.
