We have stayed at the Patchwork before and it was excellent. This time we brought our grown up children along too. As always, Rich and Adrienne made us feel as if we were part of their family. The food is superb, wonderful breakfasts, which will keep you going until lunchtime, and excellent meals throughout the day. Even better, they are now open for two evenings each week as well as the special film club nights. New additions to the family - Tyrion the cat and Pippin the house rabbit, both love being stroked. We really enjoyed our evening meal at the cafe and the puddings were scrummy. Warm comfy room with en-suite, TV with DVD player, excellent free wi-fi and coffee/tea tray. Don't waste money on a hotel if the Patchwork has any vacancies.

Room Tip: All the rooms we have stayed in were nice

Kirsty / Ivor,

As ever a pleasure to host your recent visit and thank you for taking the time to write up a report of your stay on Trip Advisor. It really helps other visitors understand what to expect when they are planning a visit to Patchwork.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Best wishes,

Rich & Adrienne

We recently stayed at Patchwork, and could not have had a more enjoyable experience. The owners, Adriene and Rich, were very hands on and made sure everything was just right. From the moment we arrived we were treated as part of the family. The breakfasts were wonderful and the one meal we had in the restaurant was superb.
We had some transport problems during our stay, but Adriene and Rich could not have been more accomodating.
Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay there should we visit the island again in the future.

We have just returned from having a meal at Patchwork.
The food was absolutely wonderful. Really delicious. The staff were very helpful and so pleasant.
Nothing was too much trouble.
The decor is delightful
Everything was home made and fresh. Such a change.
The deserts are to die for.
It is wonderful that they are now open until 8 on Wednesday & Thursday evenings.
We cannot wait to come back. They deserve to do really well.

Loved the food, home cooked and lots of Manx produce. open wed-sun at the moment. Great service too! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place but it's worth booking in advance 836 418. The cinema supper club runs every Friday and is a brilliant night out.

Now nearly all the big old hotels have all but disappeared from the Isle of Man, the best option is a local B&B and Patchwork is a good example. The week we stayed the owners were working flat out to get the café downstairs ready for its reopening, but made sure we had an enjoyable stay. Very informal, breakfast more or less whatever you fancy at a time to suit you, superbly comfortable bed and from our room a great view of Chapel Bay across the cottages opposite. It's right on the main street, so what few shops are left are more or less in the same block or the next one, bus stop a few yards from the front door and the railway station a couple of hundred yards. They don't take cards, it's cash, cheque or bank transfer. Hopefully the café will be a great success, there's not really a lot of choice of places left to eat in the village (the Railway Station Hotel nearby no longer does food even though it's still advertised outside)

Room Tip: Very quiet village so no real noise even in a front room, which has the sea view
