We stayed here for a couple of nights over the Christmas break, we stayed in the sea view king suite and it was a fantastic room, huge space with a large double bed and a separate lounge area with its own roaring log fire (freshly laid and smokeless wood provided). The view of the sea was wonderful to wake up to. Made for a very romantic break.
Bar wise, it's very cosy and comfortable, they could do with stocking a few extra ales or bottles of craft beer as the local beer is a bit underwhelming. The pilsner was very nice and they had a few nice whiskys and lots of nice gin.
Food wise, the pub grub was excellent, really good chips for post walking nosh. Restaurant food could do with some finessing, there's maybe too many things on the menu to do them all well? I'll stick to the bar food next time.
Will definitely go back the next time we're over on the rock though.
Also - there are some lovely walks from there, walking over to Port Erin wouldn't be a bad shout and there's some other nice places in Port St Mary if you fancy a change of scene for eating.More
