This restaurant was recommended to us and being in the area for our anniversary we booked a table there. They had kindly set a nice table with flowers and anniversary greeting. The menu was fairly varied and the staff were excellent both in their service and manner. We enjoyed our visit and would retur.

Very busy noisy atmosphere with a strong smell of cooking.
Not shown or 3ven told there was a vegan menu available.
The butternut squash salad for starter was dull and uninspired. The others marginally better.
The mains looked ok but very lacking on taste, except the sea bass which was ultra salty in parts. The fried haddock needed the tartre sauce to give it some taste.
Gin was served with mouldy berries which were different from the ones listed on the menu.
Staff were rushed and hard to get attention. Long wait for everyone to finally get desserts served.
We certainly won't rush back for a second time..far too many little things have lead to very negative experience.
I certainly would NOT recommend this place to anyone

Dear Sonz,

To say I am devastated by your scathing review is an understatement, I offer my sincerest apologies and will ensure the relevant training and action is taken to ensure there is not a repeat of the type of experience described in your account.

Our vegan dishes have always (until now) received exceptional feedback but we will of course review our recipes to see if they need to be changed. We will also look to review our service style by offering the vegan menu to guests more readily or indeed including these dishes on our main menu.

We are an exceptionally busy, vibrant and popular tavern and as such the throng is usually what adds to the overall experience.

I understand from the tone of your review that you do not wish to return but if you were to drop me a line with your details then perhaps you'd afford me the opportunity of apologising personally .

Once again, on behalf of team Mosset,
My sincerest apologies.

Stopped off here after a lovely morning wandering around Cublin Woods and Findhorn bay.

Shared a spicy chicken starter (deep fried chicken bites in a BBQ style sauce) which was nice, if a tad rich. Partner was an idiot and ordered a VERY similar main, but really that was his own fault. I had the curry with prawns, massive portion, very tasty indeed.

Ice cream for pudding topped it all off nicely! Only minor criticism would be it was a little pricier than other meals we had in the area, which were probably just as good. But the setting and service was nice, so depends what you're after really.

Great place to stop off for a bite to eat in a lovely place. Very dog friendly, brought my boys a drink and a wee treat. Our food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They have a lovely logburner which made for a cozy lunch.
