If we could, we would rate Tigh Na Bruach B&B 6 out of 5 stars. From the moment we arrived (unfortunately late due to a delayed flight) to our final delicious breakfast, we were completely spoilt by our thoughtful and attentive hosts, Catherine and Ian (not forgetting Rowan, the lovely black Labrador). Our room was immaculate and extremely well-appointed. Every last detail had been thought of, including a welcoming decanter of sherry for us to enjoy, whilst overlooking Loch Ness. Breakfast was superb, with a range of delicious, home-cooked options to choose from. You can guarantee you'll never leave feeling hungry! Catherine had a myriad of maps and brochures for activities near and far which, combined with her and Ian's extensive local knowledge, meant that we had plenty to do and see during our stay. We will definitely be returning to Tigh Na Bruach and are already looking forward to seeing our hosts again soon.

You can also give yourselves 6 stars, you were wonderful guests. With the delay in arriving and departing flights, maybe next time you should have a leisurely drive up. Thank you for this amazing review and we look forward to seeing you again.

The Tigh Na Bruach is the loveliest B&B I've ever stayed in. Catherine has created a beautiful place to relax and enjoy Loch Ness. Located directly on the banks of the Loch, it's an excellent home base to explore the area.
The rooms are spotless, the food excellent, and the hospitality outstanding.
Don't hesitate to stay here, I can't recommend it enough.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here and found it such a great place to return to after touring all day. The rooms are large, with plenty of space for luggage, etc. so the room never felt cluttered. There was a decanter of sherry along with a kettle and treats, very much appreciated. The bed was so comfortable. Beautiful grounds, flower beds all in bloom, with paths down to the loch. We enjoyed wandering around before breakfast and after dinner. Catherine and Ian were full of suggestions for restaurants and touring ideas, we appreciated the literature they loaned us for the day. Breakfast each day was delicious, you can choose from a long list of options, thank you Catherine for the wonderful jam!
Well located for touring, you'll be happy to begin and end your days here.

If you’re looking for world class friendly hospitality you must visit Tigh Na Bruach (which means “house on the bank”). Hosts Catherine and Ian really made our holiday – a homecoming trip for us four years after moving to Australia.

Lovely, comfortable rooms have some special touches; from the decanter of sherry for guests to enjoy to the little designs that the toilet roll is folded into each day, this is a place with tonnes of charm. The en suite shower is powerful (a real plus after days out walking or driving Scotland’s beautiful scenery!) and the double sink in our room left us plenty of space in the bathroom. The room has everything else you would want, including a TV, hairdryer, wifi, seating, dressing table and tea and coffee making facilities.

On our arrival, Catherine served us afternoon tea in the dining room, chatting to us about the house, our trip and our plans to explore the local area. Afternoon tea was all homemade, including specially made baking for my wife who has a number of food allergies. Catherine makes all of her own jams and they source food from local providers. The scones were lovely! As was the jam.

Breakfast is all home cooked to perfection. Between us, over our two mornings at Tigh Na Bruach, we enjoyed fresh local eggs, a full Scottish breakfast, smoked haddock and a very tasty scrambled egg and gruyere croissant.

The stunning grounds make for good exploration opportunities down to the loch and onto the jetty.
The couple’s dog, Rowan, is incredibly well behaved. She’s friendly but well trained and does not enter any guest areas, including the dining room. She likes to lie on the decking outside each room but doesn’t even try to enter the rooms and is grateful for a dog biscuit or two, which Ian is happy to leave for guests to feed her.

Catherine and Ian lent us their local info sheets for our trip to Eilean Donan Castle and The Fairy Pools in Skye, which was very helpful.

Another plus….it’s only a five minute walk on a pavement up to the Glenmoriston Arms Hotel, where we ate dinner and enjoyed a glass of win on both evenings. We were more than happy for the walk, especially after dinner, but Catherine was also kind enough to offer to take us there or pick us up if it had been wet or we had struggled with the walk.

All in all, a top-notch experience with two wonderful hosts.
