Have been eating here for 10+ years and have never been let down.

Staff are attentive, the food excellent (at a reasonable price) and the decor and surroundings beautiful.

Fantastic restaurant.

Had a lovely meal in here recently. The table d'hote offers a good variety at only £10.95 for two courses. Our party chose both that menu and the a la carte which is also reasonably priced. All courses were excellent. The hotel has a traditional style and quite relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend booking as it was busy even on a mid week night. Prompt and efficient service.

A great Scottish breakfast. Superb choice for the cooked breakfast and presented perfectly. There were several other options for those not wanting a cooked breakfast

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with Cullen Skink to start and my friend had king scallops (3)on mini stornoway black puddings with a mint and pea dressing
Main for me was West Coast "fish'n'chips" (fat chunky chips) with peas which was a huge plateful but absolutely delicious while my friend had the Beef Bourgignon with huge tasty chunks of beef.
Although we were both full we decided to order one banana/ toffee crunch sundae with 2 spoons - it was HUGE!!! but divine.
Asked about the crunchy pieces on the bottom of the sundae but nobody could tell us what they were - malteser filling, crunchie bar chunks, or croutons (joking).
Perhaps someone could tell us? It was delicious anyway!

This was a business meal after a long day. The choice of food was excellent with a main menu, specials menu and a meal deal menu. The restaurant was quite traditional.

The Cullen skink starter was very filling as were the fajitas. Only complaint was the wraps were too small. The pana cota desert was beautiful however. The other meals we had were equally good with no complaints.

Thank Stuart N
