Lovely coffee and cakes. The sandwiches looked good too. The art exhibition was inspirational and the people very friendly. Sorry we missed the music.

What a lovely cafe / gallery. The perfect stop off on the steep walk back to our accommodation. We had a lovely friendly welcome from the young lady who served us. Everything looked delicious.

We climbed the hill (steep but this place is worth it) to see if we fancied having lunch here as well as see the Art Exhibition which was on. The menu was small in terms of number of choices but the food looked wonderful. It didn't disappoint! We ordered Mezze platters and I had a Chai Steamer Latte to go with it that was a delicious 'cuddle in a cup' - loved it! The homemade beetroot and walnut hummus was superb and I highly recommend their own little Recipe books on sale in the shop, I have made it at home and am so pleased to be able to recreate a little of their magic in my own kitchen now our holiday is over. Staff are lovely and friendly, homemade Chestnut Cake (in the recipe book too) was divine. We went on to book for a live music evening with supper the following night and ate a dreamy Thai curry with mango sorbet and berries after. Watched Me For Queen and for us, the absolute star of the entire evening - Emily Maguire accompanied by her husband Christian Dunham. We had never heard her music before but are now firm fans and bought the CD immediately after which Emily kindly signed for me. We can't wait to come back to Mull, An Tobar will be top of our list for places to visit and I hope to either hear Emily herself sing again at this lovely place or catch another fabulous musician while enjoying the magic of the venue. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent venue situated a slight climb above the harbour, there was a very good combined exhibition when we visited and there is also a decent arts / book / gift shop and a cafe. Well worth a visit

When in Tobermory don't just stick to the harbour front, climb the hill and visit An Tobar, or as it's renamed Comar.
This is a great place for coffee and cake or a lunch. Plenty cakes to choose from and plenty snacks and soups for lunch, you will be spoiled for choice.
Don't be put off by the veggie bit, soups are veggie anyway!
Don't leave it too late for lunch, this place gets busy from 12 and don't the locals know it.
Visit and enjoy
