Only been here once and we had a delicious bowl of Cullen skink which was just amazing! Then we had a delicious slice of Lemmon meringue pie, there was so much to choose from, all homemade and begging me to eat them. Most definitely worth a visit, I can't wait to visit again!

Visited on a day trip with my husband and little boy. I had macaroni cheese and a side of home made skin on chips both delicious and a generous portion. My husband had lasagne and garlic bread with salad all very tasty and a huge portion of lasagne but the clear plates speak for themselves! Sadly we didn't have space for the delicious looking meringues in the window.

Service was a bit slow, but they do advise that everything is cooked to order, so totally fresh. Staff were very pleasant, and the food was very good, and well presented.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to review our Tearoom. As you quite rightly point out we cook all our food from scratch at point of order and this takes a little time. We are not a Restaurant or Hotel but we do offer equally if not better quality food and we love to make it right for our diners . This year we are celebrating 25 years in business with the same owner of which we are very proud. We don't enter Awards or advertise heavily like most as we prefer to concentrate on our customers and our food . Proud to say that we do not have one single award to our name and yet still here thriving after 25 years. Thankyou again for your kind review .

Popped in here for some cakes to take away as we could not find many other places to get any cakes . The owner is lovely and the cakes were too we will definitely need to come back and sit in for lunch one day .

We popped in for a bite today and chose the 8oz burger with handcut chips. As someone who has had many burgers in many restaurants over the years - I can honestly say that this was THE best burger I have tasted for many years. it was home made and cooked to perfection. Presentation was excellent and to an incredibly high standard and all the food was home made and fresh. Price was on the slightly higher end but the quality being so high we were happy to pay for fresh and local ingredients. You most certainly get what you pay for here - and no prepacked processed rubbish either. Friendly staff and excellent service. If you have to wait for your food then you know it's being cooked and prepared freshly for you and hasn't been sitting under a hot lamp for hours! Will most certainly be back!

Thankyou so much for your kind review. I remember you well and it's always a pleasure to meet people with good experience in food . We don't offer mass produced burgers that take seconds to reheat and then slapped in a defrosted roll as you quite rightly comment on. All our meat ,Fish and eggs are sourced within a 8 mile radius and at local butchers snd fishmongers . This makes for quality food . We add only our special spices to minced fillet steak to create a brilliant homemade burger. Rolls are homemade by our resident Award winning baker . Thankyou again for the review and we welcome you back soon.
