We had a wonderful week in October staying at the cottage. The beds are so comfortable, it’s in a quiet location, but a stone’s throw from the port and it’s lovely shops and pubs.

When we arrived the owners had bought us a hamper of goodies as well as two doggy bags which our Cockapoos absolutely loved. It was a very special touch which we really appreciated.

It was lovely and clean and we had everything we needed to make it a lovely comfortable week away. Can’t wait to go back again.

We arrived at the cottage and were pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was! Modern with all the comfort of home, very well equipped and exceptionally clean. We loved the welcome treats as did our 2 dogs, thank you for including them! The outside area was safe and secure for the dogs, not the weather to be sitting out though!


We love Portpatrick and the cottage is situated in the perfect place, just a stroll from the beautiful harbour. There are plenty of walks from the door, Dunskey Castle is worth the steep steps and Killantringan Lighthouse is a must see too, the views along the coast are breathtaking!

We came to stay at hill street cottage in October and we really enjoyed it. We were made to feel so welcome and came in to a spotless cottage after a long drive. It was walking distance to the beach and the local amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
