Glorious Fish & Chips for dinner, succulent Smoked Haddock for breakfast.

The Breakfast Room is very smart and the bar cosy.

Food lovely and hot with friendly waiting and bar staff.

Visited for dinner last night. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Had spicy pork burger from their specials menu. It was fine but I thought £14 a bit OTT. However, we are a fair way from anywhere out here. Aspall's on tap too so not all bad! Went back today to see if they had any maps of local walks in the hotel reception. Incredibly friendly and helpful reception staff who printed a map and walk details for me.

Great food and friendly service. Not cheap but quality is good. Need to book for a Saturday night. Lovely location.

We stopped here twice during our travels. Breakfast was the first stop. I had the scones assortment, and it was especially delicious. The other stop was for afternoon tea. Friendly, efficient service and a cozy place to stop. We wished we would have stayed here overnight. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery.

An averagely enjoyable meal, but not fantastic. Dogs are welcome, which is useful if you're walking in the area. Rather pricey for what we got, I thought.
