We were looking for live music and a local told us about this place. They only have one thing on the menu, and that's the soul burger. That's all you need folks! For a mere $6, this burger is juicy and flavorful. Comes with a bag of chips. They have beer and fireball, which I thought was funny that was the only liquor but it suits this place. Live jazz was awesome. You can go upstairs and see the "haunted" portion of the building. I admit, it was a little creepy. Staff was very friendly. Loved this little hole in the wall!!

Hands down this is probably the dumpiest dive I've ever been in, however probably the best burger I've had to date. This place is most definitely not for those who expect a higher end dining experience. It is a dive bar with a single man behind the counter with literally one food item on their menu, the Soul Burger with potato chips. Belly up to the bar and order a burger and you will not regret it. The bar is in rough shape however you'll see that a handful of movies were actually filmed there, with pictures of the stars on the wall. If you ask the bartender will allow you to go upstairs to where the infamous haunted brothel used to be. Our bartender informed us that two sex workers were killed up there and left in the bathtubs. Make this apart of your trip in Memphis if you love a good burger and a piece of quirky history.

A fun experience, bets with a group, so much history, not sure how many of the stories are true but it adds to the mystique. Only food is a soul burger but its as good a burger as you will get.

This place is creepy and dripping with history, which we happen to like. I inquired of a cook if they had any ghost stories and he took us around and told us some, after he'd made us some soul burgers, which are the perfect size, not giant. We had such fun here.

It is what it is. I'm sure that many would not be impressed with this place but it has history. We have history with this bar too. Clarence made us some amazing soul burgers and we sat back and reminisced. The burgers are amazing and the live music is great too. See you next trip!
