“A disappoitment”
Reviewed 8 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

A real let down - though stylishly decorated, everything was grubby and broken and there was a general air of neglect.

The place is in real need of a deep clean and some new furniture. Some of the extension leads seemed dangerous due to being black with dust and having loose wires. Parts of the kitchen fell apart at the touch while the broken cd player had sharp edges. There was also a pile of old rusty tools left by the rayburn. Cabinets in the living room had parts of the doors missing and the sofas and mattress are long due for replacement. The living room floor is bare cement under the rugs, which had not been properly cleaned.

The property is much closer to other houses than the pictures suggest.

The shower is temperamental, but the owner was very helpful on the phone.

Overall, I would not recommend the cottage to others, though with a little work (deep clean, new kitchen, a few new items of furniture and a new floor in the living room) it could be nice.
