What a great package. Comfort, location, design flare and price. No shortage of things to do, for the more adventurous would suggest Snowdon via Y Lliwedd ridge. Nantille Ridge above Rhyd Ddu, Peri Horseshoe (for the serious) and Moel Siabod cafe just down the road for great eats.

We stayed as a group of ladies in the 8 bunk room. The bunks are amazing, so comfy and all have a little shelf, a light, their own plug socket and curtains to close for that extra privacy, everything had been thought of! There were plenty of shower rooms and considering there were lots of people using the hostel and these are of course shared facilities there were no queues at any point and they were kept clean.
The dining area is large and had plenty of seating with board games to play if you wanted to.
The kitchen was well stocked and clean.
Outside is a lovely wooden seating area with fire pit and luckily the weather was kind to us so we could use it on one evening. It has lovely views over Snowdon and to watch the sun setting with a glass of wine and the fire lit was just perfect!
The staff were so friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful! And I can’t forget Ralph the hostel dog, our mini bus was pretty full so I couldn’t sneak him home :)
I will be recommending to everyone and look forward to going back!

Lovely place to stay! Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy beds and great location with easy access to good hiking or mountaineering routes. Moel Siabod is a lovely scenic route and no need to drive. You can walk to the start from the hostel. There are a few different routes up depending on your experience level. Access to Crib Goch, for the more experienced mountaineer, is a about a ten minute drive. Check out the Moel Siabod cafe next door. They have a good menu priced reasonably.

Very nice staff, who took the time to explain us everything and the guy at the desk also recommended us some very good local ales. Excellent accomodation. Walk the Ogwen Valley, really worth every mile.
