his was our 3rd stay at Bwthyn Mel . The kids loved the new sofa as it was huge and my daughter was more than happy to see a TV in 'her' bedroom !
As usual we had a great time and the kids loved having wi fi.
We' ll be back again next year. Thankyou
We have just returned from our relaxing holiday to Bwthyn Mel. This was our 2nd visit in three years and it was as gorgeous as ever. The owners have maintained the quality and feel of the cottage very well. There was plenty of space to sit and relax in the large living room on comfy leather sofas. The decor was fresh and new. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the decking at night with a glass of wine. The pots and solar lights were a nice touch.

The photos don't do this cottage justice, it is equipped and furnished to a very high standard. The front bedroom even has a sea view. Set in the lovely town of Criccieth there is lots to see. Visiting Snowdon is a must, as is a journey on one of the steam trains. There is lots for kids to do from pony trekking to exploring slate mines, the beaches are stunning too! For something exciting would particularly recommend "The Corris Slate Mine Exploration", a proper tour of a slate mine with Mark our friendly and very knowledgable guide - a great experience.

The cottage was lovely inside, large ,clean.and the kitchen and bedrooms where really nice. The problem we had was there was no where we felt we could chill at the end of the day, there is a very small area at the front that has a small bench but this is right on a road that has traffic going past. The small decked area is dirty with a number of bins next to table and chairs, there was a BBQ again by bins, also over looked by neighbours and council estate at the back of the property. There is also a play area on the estate that was very noisy and could continually hear children screaming and footballs. The walk to the beach is about 20 mins down hill but if you have any one with a disability it's a problem walking back up due to it being so steep. The lounge is really nice but felt not enough seats if there were 6 in your party, also sofas were very uncomfortable we have all come home with back ache. I have to say the owners were very helpful when booking but would not stay again

From the outside the property looks small but once inside you will be amazed how big it is ! The house is really well decorated, spotlessy clean and the fixtures and fitting are top notch.
The location is very good as you can walk into Criccieth and eat at a number of varied eateries. Also you are ideally situated to explore the rest of the peninsula or further into Snowdonia.
Parking is tight and that is the only downside but that is just the nature of the area and not a problem.
Mike is great to deal with and the booking procedure is straightforward and easy.
We thoroughly recommend this property and would have no hesitation in booking again.
