Description: We started The Marram Grass because we believed we could create a place that offers good, creative food using local produce and seafood, all within an informal setting. On Anglesey we are surrounded by beautiful produce, fresh fish and shellfish and it is not lost on our team of chefs. We work hard to keep our menu moving and we change them regularly to best accommodate the fresh and seasonal produce that comes in through our door. In our low-key setting we have create an inviting and relaxed atmosphere without taking any shortcuts on quality. We have a full, purposeful wine list and a selection of local beers, as well as a good selection of some the the worlds Gins. We offer small portions of our menu for children and are happy to accommodate, well behaved dogs as long as they sit under the table. We want you to eat with us, we enjoy our job hosting and cooking so come on over and try us out. See you soon, The Marram Grass Team x

This place is a surprise - the food is exceptional and yet it is all delivered in a very unassuming and slightly quirky environment.
Staff were exceptional and the whole place had a really great relaxed
The quality of the locally sourced food is fantastic.

We are sure that the culinary skills were there. It's just that given the location ( basically a shack next to a caravan park near the Menai Straits ) and the various reviews and pictures, we were hoping ( in fact expecting ) rustic, more substantial seasonal fare which concentrated on flavours not appearances. In fact this place really belies it's outer appearance and the food served up is very much aspiring Michelin star territory, ie strategically positioned blobs and foams and small portions. Fine if you like that. We personally are a bit weary of such experiences ( and prices ) so probably would not venture here again. However given the rave reviews from virtually everyone else we appreciate we may be swimming against the tide here ( no pun intended ! ). However one point we would make in terms of the food - if you are going to serve slow cooked meat ( in this case belly pork or lamb) , it needs to be tender and well rendered, not tough and jelly like fat - even we know that !

We came here to celebrate a significant birthday and we had a wonderful meal. Were a party of four and three of us vegan, the chef had prepared a vegan menu option and it was delicious. Each dish showed such attention to detail, and yes some people may say that it is expensive, but with food this good, I think it is good value for money. All the staff were friendly and professional, the restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely come here again.

This was our second visit after we decided to stay at the caravan park and pre-book a table for a Sunday evening.

All I can say is that the food seems to get better. My partner had a lamb dish that she described as the nicest she had ever eaten.

The service was excellent and the food was reasonably priced. We had 3 courses with an additional course given free of charge, champagne and wine and it came to just over £100.

We are already planning our third visit for later in the year
