Im a regular visitor at this special museum and every time I visit there is always progress and new additions within the museum. Visitors can see ongoing restorations and even ask the owner for info on a particular vehicle and he is always happy to give a brief history of the vehicle/exhibit. On our visit today we saw the two new additions, lady Jess a leyland hippo truck and Monty a forward control landrover we were told that these vehicles would be used as glamping holiday lets. The most impressive addition for this year looks to be the Hunter aircraft which was the gateguard at the local airbase, Im excited to see the progress on this exhibit over the coming months.
Following our walk around the museum we decided to visit the cafe well oh my god there were so many cakes to chose from so much choice but the final choice was to be a bakewell tart, it was like no other that I have tasted even better than my mothers! (Hope she doesn't read this!)
Look forward to visiting again over the summer. Diolch tacla taid/caffi nain

Visited in passing yesterday. Amazing place with a lovely friendly atmosphere. We had a lovely homemade lunch. The cakes we had were to die for for proper homemade like my grandmother made. Will definitely be returning, hopefully sooner rather than later !

We enjoyed our visit to Tacla Taid more than we expected to. We're not particularly interested in old vehicles, but it was a collection that had obviously been put together with love and genuine affection. The information boards were interesting and often showed quirky personality. The staff we met were all attentive, friendly and helpful.

The vehicles themselves were all clean and clearly maintained, and the whole museum and site was well laid out. In addition to the displays of vehicles the collection was rich in associated motoring memorabilia - petrol pumps, oil cans, hub caps etc - which were imaginatively displayed, and really helped build a sense of period nostalgia. There were separate collections of motorcycles, tractors and military vehicles.

As others have said, there's a large cafe with an interesting menu. A surprisingly (for us anyway) interesting and enjoyable visit.

Where do i begin... Has to be one of my fave cafes to date. Lovely cafe, retro/old skool theme. Fantastic staff, young female waitress very polite and attentive. Very reasonable prices. Good menu choices and some lovely specials on. We had a giant yorkie, sausage, mash, peas and gravy. Lovely. Son had sausage, chips and beans... and the cutest baby sized carton of milk. PUDDING!!! A chunky slab of Homemade Battenberg Fresh Homemade scone with jam and clotted cream were to die for. Fab outdoor seating area if you visit and have dogs. Also a great play area for kids. We went on to have a look around the museum afterward. Most definitely a few hours well spent. Most definitely visiting again!!
