Our three-generational family had a wonderful stay with Marcelo and crew. The rooms -- Bugambilia and Palapa Suite -- graciously accommodated us. Everything was pretty, clean, comfortable and creative. Super comfy beds. Fun art and artifacts on the walls (each room different), beautiful linens. We arrived late after an epic 2.5 days to get to San Pancho. Marcelo arranged for a ride to pick us up, the kitchen stayed open to feed us dinner, we were well attended by Adolfo. The next day's breakfast was a bit slow but absolutely delicious -- try the spinach, mushroom and goat cheese omelet. The beach is an easy walk. I happily recommend El Cielo Rojo.

Very lovely boutique hotel that was immaculate. The location was perfect. My husband and I were upgraded to a junior suite that had a comfortable bed. The restaurant was very good and the wine selection was great.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room that is a distance away from the roosters!

Wonderful in all regards! Staff so friendly and helpful, amazing, healthy food, all a few blocks from beautiful beach. The food is a gastronomic adventure and lots of GF, which was fantastic for my daughter who has celiac. Buddha Bowl best breakfast ever. Happiness is here!

No surprises, same GREAT place, service, food and staff. Stayed for 11 days came down to a beautiful breakfast and wonderful coffee every morning. Bed is very comfortable and bathrooms are very clean. Decor is exceptional. Everything was just as lovely as the last 3 years. We will return again next year.

Room Tip: every room is good.

Cielo Rojo is better than it has to be, on all counts.

We were in town for the San Pancho Music Festival, a terrific 3 days of rock and folk. San Pancho is basically a one-road town just a few miles north of Sayulita. It's quieter, really chill. Fun restaurants and shops, a big beach. Super-nice people.

Hotel Cielo is in the middle of things. It's a pretty, boutique hotel. Beautiful art. Way comfortable room. Really friendly staff who tolerated our not-so-good Spanish. Restaurant is the surprise: it's way better than we could have hoped. Food is organic, local, and great. The tequila tasting is a nice touch.

I could see spending a week, month or more in San Pancho. The part at Cielo Rojo would be great.
