We spent a couple of nights here, whilst passing through the Grampians. Location wise, you can't get much better, considering the main cafe's and restaurants (all 3 of them) are situated behind the Pinnacle grounds. The lodges are more like motels, in that they are long rows of terraced accommodation.
The grounds around the apartments are quite sparse, but the views into the mountains are fantastic. You're only really a stones throw away form all the roads and trails leading into the mountains.
The accommodation itself is rather dated, with exposed brick walls (not in a trendy manhattan apartment style) and basic kitchen units. Its still clean, but could just do with a little upgrading. In our bathroom the insect guard across the window was missing, so we did share the bathroom with a few crawling friends. You are in the middle of the Grampians, so you can't expect 5 star luxury.
You can quite happily sit outside, drinking your local wine and watching the kangaroos bounce past.More
