We stayed in the Kingfisher for 2 nights, but now wish we would have stayed longer. The house was very comfortable and clean, with everything we needed and a good welcome basket thrown in.
The wood fire was great, it really made the room feel warm and cosy. Laundry facilities were useful - we were on a 4 week trip of Australia. The bed room was spacious, with a great balcony to sit out and watch the wildlife and the mountains. The bathroom again was large, with plenty of towels and toiletries.
When we met Peter it was clear that he wanted to make sure that everything was alright for us.
The lodges are set well off the road, so it feels very secluded and quiet (apart from some of the birds and frogs ....) It is only a short walk into Halls Gap itself, the bakery does good bread and pies, and the area is great for walking.
We'd stay here again if we ever get back to the Grampians.More
