The immediate appeal of this motel was the fact that it is right in the heart of town, hence within walking distance to all the facilities.
We were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received, and the condition of the room which was immaculate and clean.
Our only minor criticism is perhaps the TV could have been larger, but overall this was excellent value for money, highly recommended.

Came for dinner on a Thursday night and was thoroughly impressed. 10/10 chicken Parma and extra point for generous gravy on the side! We will most certainly be back next time in town. Staff were very friendly also!

While staying at Carlyle B&B in Rutherglen, we decided to have diner and a evening out at the Poachers Paradise Hotel just around the corner, a short walking distance away, we had been told you get big meals at this place, so be careful what you order. Wow were we surprised, Hubby ordered the special Mixed Mushroom Risotto and I ordered a Pumpkin pre baked, Spinach and vegetable with Melted cheese crumbly crust pie, with chips and fresh salad, Now we do have to say they were huge serves, Hubby enjoyed his very much best he has ever had, so compliments to their Chef, Mine was Luscious the chips light and fluffy crispy on the outside too, salad very fresh, even with the help of hubby sharing my chips I couldn't finish the dish fully,Now this was a Tuesday night, they had all wings of the dining room open and were packed, the meals came out fast so no long wait, The staff are friendly and helpful, a very nice Country Town Hotel, We Than
k them.

Room Tip: Dinning room eating, very nice.

We stayed here 3 nights to visit the wineries in the area. The hotel has accommodation offering very clean and spacious motel rooms at the rear of the pub building which are accessible from a quiet street, with convenient off street parking. The managers were very friendly and enthusiastic and were keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Terrific location in the middle of town. Very good pub food. Can highly recommend this lovely place.
