The Management was extremely rude. After arriving and being told our caravans were too big (not once when we booked were any of the 4 families asked for our van size), we were made to feel as though we were a hassle. Upon leaving when I inquired about booking another stay management responded sarcastically 'Did I really think their caravan park was right for us?' When I inquired as to why, she responded that our vans were too big and would need to be in another area and she had to ask one of the children to wear a helmet. When questioned as to which child, as six of them are under 5 - she couldn't tell me. This made me furious as we feel very strongly about all of our children wearing helmets. She then stated that after being asked not to play cricket one of our dads was kicking a foam football to his 6 year old which is against park rules, though their website states you can throw a frisbee. Other campers were lovely, praising our children for their behaviour. I would not recommend this caravan park for famililes. Management should have come to us and said we are sorry we don't really cater for children and recommended other more suitable caravan parks to us (five families) when we made a booking or even whilst we were there, but to accept our booking and money, knowing how many adults and children there were and then to be rude and make us feel unwelcome is awful. Perhaps they should market themselves a pet and child free park and save others the same upsetting end to an otherwise lovely holiday.

Where do I begin?
Management are very rude, on arrival management stood and watched us set up, then approached us and told us to move 1 meter. Every day management do a number of walk/drive byes checking to see that campers are obeying their rules.
The bathrooms are dirty, and the floors are hosed off and large amounts of hair sit on the drains, there are not sanitary bins in the toilets.
Only one car per camp site, and sadly I witness a gentleman not even allowed his car in and he was on Canadian crutches.
If you complain your told that "We don't need your money" (I think they do as this place was never fully booked like other caravan parks on Phillip Island.

Room Tip: Dont book here if you want privacy and a happy holiday

This was our second stay at San Remo Holiday Park. It is in an excellent location just behind the shops at San Remo. There is a walkway through to the IGA store and one to the hotel.
You can easily walk to the bus stop to catch the shuttle bus to the Grand Prix Circuit which means you can leave the car or bike behind.
The park has cabins, camp sites and powered sites for caravans. The only down side are the showers which are perfectly clean but lack water pressure. They change temperature constantly and are very annoying.

What a fabulous little caravan park! If you want a really quiet place to stay, you won't get better! The birds woke us up! It doesn't have all the fancy trimmings but you do get friendly, country hospitality and very clean accommodation. We stayed in a 2BR villa. It has everything u need, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen - they are set up really well. Staff are very helpful. It's located very close to IGA and the local pub - you just walk 100m! Couldn't fault this great place. Thank you for such a pleasant stay Di.
