We always stop at Barbecue Station when we are traveling between San Antonio and Victoria to see family. We have not been there for about 2 years so we were excited to have the chance to stop and have lunch. We were very disappointed in the food. How does a restaurant in south Texas mess up pinto beans? They had no flavor and were not even cooked all the way. The meat had little taste and was very tough. Even the iced tea was off. Not sure what has happened in the last two years but we were very disappointed and will now have to find another place to eat lunch.

A lot of good history in here and run by very wonderful people. The food is outstanding and as you go through the line you get to pick what you want and how much as all the meats are sold by the pound. All of the side items are made daily and always taste good. Give yourself a treat and stop in for a meal, you will not be sorry!!

By far the best bbq in town. The lines can get long at noon when the high school kids are out, but it's worth the wait!

The first time we visited, it was very good. Meat was tender and juicy with lots of flavor. However, the second time we went, it wasn't worth the money. Ribs were tough and brisket was very dry. Not much flavor in the meat. Maybe just a fluke as they had just come back from vacation. I will try once more with hopes of it being what I remembered from the first time.
