Took the family out for mother's day brunch. I'd like to tell you they were busy, but we were seated immediately. So... No excuses for the service or HOUR AND A HALF delay. Tables came and went, but they couldn't seem to find our order. Line of the day was "5 minutes and it'll be here".
Manager/owner came by and made jokes instead of apologies...and offered a post breakfast glass of wine. Thanks but how about a discount...
Sadly, this place was once a great dining experience. Never again.

Well that is what you can expect if you are sitting in Brittney's section at the Dream Cafe! And, to top it off, the food was excellent as well! We enjoyed breakfast at this little hotspot in Dallas while celebrating my daughters 28th birthday. She really wanted to go to this restaurant because she had heard that the French Toast was really good. She was not disappointed! The French Toast is rolled in granola and it is really good! She also ordered a side of Vege Sausage that we all tasted and could not tell the difference between the Vege and regular sausage. We also ordered their delicious Popovers that were served with Strawberry Butter. The Austin Tacos and Scrambled Ham dish were equally as good. Brittney stole the show with her uncanny ability to know what we needed before we ever asked for it. She was so attentive to our needs that we never wanted for anything! Breakfast was awesome and we will definitely go again!

First come, first serve. Patrons with their dogs can eat outside. Very good breakfast w/twists. Health drinks, a delectable Danish. Ample eggs and hash browns, waffles, and good coffee.

I really wanted to like this place since it's a pretty cool layout and style when you walk in and get an old LP that identifies your place in the line. However, this becomes less cool once you realize that despite at least 10 empty tables, you are made to wait for 45 minutes...

Once at the table, both me and my friend were pretty dismayed at the dirty plastic shades for the outdoor seating area and the dirty napkins wrapped around the cutlery. The plastic glasses has been washed and used so many times they look permanently dirty. When the food came out, it became evident that this restaurant doesn't pay much attention to cleanliness. Both of our plates were dirty! Gross. The food was also glazed in fat and the tiny little toast triangles looked and tasted like sawdust. With so many good brunch options in Dallas, I'd recommend go somewhere else!

A delightful small oasis in midst of high rises and on a green lawn and with a large outdoor patio area. Food an interesting mix of home cooking and vegetarian.
