Had lunch here today with a group of friends. I had a bowl of tortilla soup and a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was packed full of nicely cooked chicken, thinly sliced ham and lots of veggies. Excellent. The tortilla soup was good but not great. A bit too watery for my taste and lacking the correct compliment of tortilla strips and NO avocado (now, this just ain't right!).
(Zucchini squash in tortilla soup?? Say it isn't so!)
Recommended.

This is the best course of the four located in the mid/north Denton county area (Bridlewood, Oakmont, and Denton Country Club). The fairways are wide but the true test is on the greens, particularly when they have them running fast. There's also a surprising amount of water on the course and significant bunkering which has actually been decreased over the years. This is a golf club, not a country club, and the focus here is primarily about golf. The 19th hole is certainly adequate and the food is good but the golf course is the star here.

This is not a long course even from the tips, but it has its share of challenges. More bunkers than average, and in decent shape. The greens are usually very hard and do not hold wedges well. They all have some slope, and being on the right level makes the putting easier. Here is where the 'putt for dough' will ring true.

Had another nice experience at Lantana Golf Club yesterday. The $5 burgers are fabulous, along with the sweet potato fries.
