They have a fried PB&J that I heard was very good. I didn't try it, but I would love to next time I go. Most things on the menu were yummy comfort food, but the fried PB&J stood out.

Our son lives in Galveston and suggested having lunch there. Great food but please save room for dessert.. WOW Homemade cakes, cookies and other deserts. when ever we go to Galveston to see him, there is always time for a tyrip to Shykatz.

We had a great experience and enjoyed a savory breakfast. It was possibly the best French Toast I have eaten! The decor is eclectic and simple, and the food is wonderful. The staff was friendly and it was not crowded on a Tuesday morning.

We discovered this charming place three years ago and it's now our tradition to have breakfast here on the last morning of our Galveston trips. Located in a residential area, it has a welcoming "neighborhood" feel that can't be duplicated by chain restaurants. Eclectic decor, good food made well, and friendly customer service keep us coming back.

We stayed across the street in the Lost Bayou Guesthouse and we were very happy we decided to try ShyKatz. Excellent Philly cheesesteak sandwich and my wife's reuben was possibly the best one she'd ever had. The breakfasts look fabulous as well. Quaint posters all over the wall were good for a few laughs. Obviously a local favorite.
