The Holiday Inn is clean, friendly, up to date, large clean pool. We enjoyed two nights and visited Fossil Rim twice and Dinosaur Valley State Park. Our suite was huge, a plus when traveling with three generations. Breakfast was fine--the basics. If you want a bag breakfast to get off early to Fossil Rim, tell them the night before. You make your selections, and they have it bagged and ready to go.

My family always starts at Holiday Inn Expresses when we travel. We are Platinum Elite members. This Holiday Inn Express was severely outdated. The beds were hard, there were no plugs near the bed to charge devices, the old AC unit under the window had a hard time keeping the room cool and was very loud when it cycled on. The front desk attendant (2 different ones) were outside on smoke breaks instead of working the desk, and one was even helping themselves to breakfast along with everyone else. Other hotels in town had indoor pools, but not this one. My son was excited to at least use the hot tub, but it was just as cold as the pool. This hotel needs a face-lift if it wants to compete in this small town.

This was a great find in a small town! Only 6 miles from the Fossil Rim Animal Preserve, and next door to a gas station & convenience store. The rooms were spotless, the beds were comfy, rooms are nice size and it was a great value. Complementary breakfast included hot food (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes), yogurt, fresh cinnamon rolls, juices, bagels, etc.

The guy on evening duty during check in had great people skills! He was very helpful when questioned about where we could find a good place for dinner on a Sunday night for our family, that included young children. He walked through various options, and even gave me a list of all the local places including days & hours of operation.

About a mile down the road on the highway from the hotel is a great little restaurant called Big Cup Eatery - a wholesome family place with reasonable prices, Mexican food and a wide variety of breakfast options (breakfast is served all day). The French toast topped with bananas and caramel sauce were awesome! Their home made rolls are huge and fabulous!

You can’t go wrong staying here!

We were a walk-up stay. We were visiting Glen Rose and again picked the HI for our stay. The young gentleman on the desk greeted us warmly and was very helpful. The room was a King bed suite and much appreciated. Everything was clean and well maintained. The issues we had was 1) the layout for parking. I think the designer forgot that hotel guests have rolling luggage. There needs to be a ramp to accommodate a wall they have between some parking and the front entrance. 2) Since we travelled in Texas in January we were hoping for a heated pool. Unfortunately it wasn't available. 3) This is the second HI express we have stayed in on this trip and this time no in room safe. This also occurred on our next stay in Waco. Breakfast was good with Hot eggs and pancakes plus lots of other choices.

We stayed here when we went to visit our son at Tarelton University. The room was clean. Front Desk are was inviting. We didn't use the gym or pool, but it looked well maintained. The free breakfast included, eggs, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. Despite being busy, the breakfast area was kept stocked and clean. Pets are allowed, but I never saw evidence of them.
