Anniversary trip. Stayed one night. The grounds were beautiful. We took a bottle of wine and sat out back by the river and enjoyed the view. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are small. The ommon area was very comfortable. The dining room was wonderful with a great view. Breakfast was very good.

We had a wonderful time. Not only were the owners of the inn great hosts, the town of Glen Rose was very welcoming. We each had our own room with a private bathroom, a large conference room with a fireplace overlooking the river and amazing home-cooked meals daily. All of the women in this group are global travelers and were raving about it. The service and hospitality were top notch and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Thank you for the kind review. Lori and I, as well as the staff, enjoyed your group very much. It is such a treat for us to see a work retreat filled with laughter and smiles. And what an honor to host you ladies. Please come back and see us soon as we would love to see each and every one of you again.

We're seasoned travelers who have considerable experience with B&B's.
We admire people who put their lives on the line to run a B&B!
The Inn on the River is neat and the people are great.
My 3 star rating is based on what I consider poor value for the price.
Our room was very small and their isn't a tv on the property.
I thought $139 for middle of winter was excessive and poor value.
If this was east or west coast I wouldn't think much about it but Glen Rose doesn't justify this price.
I wish them well!

This bed and breakfast is located out in the middle of the smallest town i have ever been to. There is not much at all to do here. I went for a weekend retreat and while the food was good and the service was good, the rooms was very old and outdated. They were furnished in antiques and old times wall paper. There was some peeling paint in the bathroom trim, but it was clean. I understand it was an historic place and the inn keepers were great. My time probably would have been better if there was more to the town. It was 1 hour and half drive to the airport. If traveling to this area, I recommend staying in Granbury instead of Glen Rose, just merely because there was not even a store to buy aspirin nearby.

You must experience the laid back, extra relaxed, soooooo enjoyable kinda stay
at this beautiful bed and breakfast. No televisions ............just a beautiful property,
where you can sit, relax, take a walk, share conversations with other guests, and totally enjoy the Inn Keeper's personalities and innate abilities to make their guests feel like they're at home. Breakfast is sooooo delicious. Then, throw in being walking distance from downtown Glen Rose, and you have the makings for the perfect week end. You'll love this beautiful property, and Mike & Lori Linnabery (your hosts) will make your stay so very special.

Room tip: Each room is well appointed; quiet; no televisions; serene
