I stayed at the Inn on the River in Glen Rose, TX in March 2017 for my brother's wedding. Our families and friends rented out the entire inn, and it was a fabulous spot for an intimate wedding weekend. The owners, Mike and Lori, were easy to communicate with and incredibly helpful. My brother constantly talked about how easy the whole planning process was (they didn't use a wedding planner) because of Mike and Lori's knowledge and efforts. They even helped organize a babysitter for my baby during the wedding reception! The scenery and buildings are gorgeous and there were multiple possible spots for the actual ceremony and reception, depending on weather. They had the wedding ceremony outside under huge oak trees (using a large white tent as well), and the reception was in a conference room in a building separate from the hotel itself. We all played lawn games on the well-kept back lawn, and enjoyed walking around the property. The Adirondack chairs set up overlooking the river were a favorite among many of us! The rooms were pretty and clean, as was the entire hotel. The food was delicious and all of the staff were attentive. The hotel is in a great location on one of the "main" streets in Glen Rose, easy walking distance from boutiques and restaurants. I would definitely stay at the inn again in the future and will highly recommend it to my friends...I stayed at the Inn on the River in Glen Rose, TX in March 2017 for my brother's wedding.
