Lovely country house run by a warm hardworking couple Ana and Helder. We ate dinner there two nights. Probably the best meals of our entire trip to Portugal. The breakfasts were also delicious. Ana is an amazing cook. We didn't make use of the pretty pool and area but it was nice to look out at from our room. Everything is spotlessly clean. We walked to a nearby restaurant, recommended by Ana, for tapas on the first day. It was a fun place to go, where many locals were spending their Sunday afternoon. We parked our car at the nearest train station one morning and went in to Porto. Much easier than finding parking in Porto. Very inexpensive train ride. If you spend the day in the area there are some interesting places to visit, which Helder or Ana can tell you about.
Ana and Helder go out of their way to make your stay pleasurable. The breakfast starts at 9 which is a little late for early risers. It is a country location, accessible by car. It was a little tricky to find but we had GPS. It is about 40 km from Porto.
Thanks to Ana, Helder and Ruth for making our stay so pleasant.More
