Description: The atmosphere is beautiful and intriguing at the same time - splashes of unique colors and art engulf the interior to bring the patrons into a surrounding unlike any other. Our menu is unique in almost every way and we strive to surprise every customer on what their palette might enjoy while trying their next glass of wine. Our knowledgeable staff is always available for anyone with questions about wine typologies or even to just talk "shop" about our wine selection. One of the most unique experiences we offer to our guest is the option to use our self-serve Italian made Enomatics. We offer a selection of 48 wines on these tasting machines that can be dispensed at the correct temperature directly to customers through the use of a microchip card. Every wine on the system can be dispensed in 1.5oz, 3oz, or 6oz pours - giving our guests the chance to taste as many wines as they like without having to look at a single menu. Our goal is to help everyone experience the various types of wine from around the world and to never make anyone feel that you have to have a degree in enology to enjoy a great glass of wine.

The Funky Door, now that it has moved, is truly a beautiful environment. I love the look of the place, and the open feel of the restaurant. While the menu is limited, I subscribe to Gordon Ramsey's philosophy that we indeed should have a simple menu, one in which everything tastes delicious. And that is mostly the case here. The fondue is RICH, but it's a favorite for sure, especially the gouda and caraway seeds. I loved the bone marrow appetizer, certainly the only place in Lubbock to find that. And the ahi tuna, well, it was pretty delicious. We went one night and had mystery wine, which is fun and cheap, and we also went for brunch. The menu there is pretty eclectic and delicious. One of the my favorite restaurants in town right now for sure.

We came here to celebrate Mother’s Day and had a great time! The mimosas were excellent and the omelette I had was fantastic. Would definitely come back.

Nice new restaurant, service was pretty good. We went on a Monday when they offer 5.00 glasses of wine, their choice of brand, but you do get a choice of red or white. First glass was good, second and third not so much. Ordered ribeye steak, it was cooked well (med. rare) but highly under seasoned, as in no seasoning! Funny, if they are not going to not season the steak, the least they could do is have a salt and pepper shakers on the table, but no, we had to ask for these. They had a very nice pair of musicians who also sang songs, they were very good however also very loud, made it very difficult to talk with other people at the table, maybe reduce volume, as most people like music, but not at the expense of conversing with guests.
