The cemetery on the outskirts of town has the graves of Vincent and Theo Van Gogh. A poignant reminder of the tragic life of this brilliant artist.

If you love Van Gogh, do not miss it! It is a small modest cemetery in the countryside, near to Paris. The atmosphere is very special, as if time stopped in 1890. The little village is marked by the memory of great painter

Peaceful cemetery, appreciate some of the graves decorated with ceramic flowers. Vincent and Theo at rest together.

Cemetary where Vincent and Theo Van Gogh are buried. I came here on a drizzly day, yet the walk fro the church of Auvers was peaceful and well maintained. The maintenance man was actually tending to the graves as we arrived, showing how much care goes into the graveyard.

If you have come to the town it is largely for one reason- and this to follow in the steps of the last 70 days of Van Gogh's life. So inevitably you end up here. A simple but evocative memorial.
The cemetery is up a small hill on the outskirts of the town amongst the fields of which Van Gogh drew so it seems appropriate.
