Fabulous spacious house that is great for a family or a group of friends. Open living , dining and kitchen area which keeps it social. Every window you look out has stunning views over Couiza. The pool area was a great sun trap with an equally great pool again with those stunning views over the village. We ate out in 3 local restaurants in the village all superb meals and the locals are friendly. Would definitely book again to explore more of the Aude area which is stunning.
We had a wonderful stay in this immaculate modern contemporary house. Location is stunning, views of the landscape all around and a view across the town from the large balcony. Great for watching your other half walk to the bakery. The pool was delightful, incredibly clean, surrounded by a terraced garden with natural planting. Lovely relaxing on the rattan loungers and just admiring the views. The house has a large, high ceiling, open plan room, incorporating the kitchen, dining and living areas. A great room for all the family and friends to gather. The bedrooms and the whole house are beautifully furnished. The bathrooms are high spec, like staying in a luxury hotel. There are many places to visit nearby but can highly recommend the Chateau des Ducs de Joyeuse restaurant which is a 16th century stone manor house, perfect for a special occasion dinner, we were so lucky when we visited as the town had a firework display on that night. Also Carcassonne town with its famous medieval city is a short drive away.
Set in a pretty village, a short drive from the airport, the house sits on the side of a hill with an amazing view of the village and surrounding countryside.
The house has everything you could possibly want - a real home from home. Good restaurants and the local boulangerie are only a short stroll away.
The pool is beautiful with great seating areas to watch the sun set over the hills or catch glimpses of the local wildlife.
I'd highly recommend this holiday property and would definitely visit again.
Beautiful terrace with fantastic views. We had breakfast out there each morning and watched who ever came back from the bakery make their way up the hill with delicious warm treats.
The pool was great for our 11 year old daughter to play in and there is a parasol to provide much needed shelter from the sun. Perfect for the adults too with more fabulous views whilst soaking up the sun.
The whole house has a nice airy feel. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of room. The shutters ensured a full nights sleep with no early mornings...
Good easy to use WiFi and wireless speakers were a nice touch as we could play our own music.
Two highlights were a local restaurant ( La Carnotzet) recently refurbished which was a short walk into the town.
And an Ariel park (02aventure) near Carcassone which was excellent value of 16 Euros with loads of zip wires and challenges.
