We enjoyed one of the suites. A very nice room and one of the best places we stayed during our hiking trip in the Black Forest. The pool, wellness, ... are a nice extra to relax after a long walk.

The diner however was very disappointing.

This was a one night stay as part of a 6 day walking holiday. Room was good and service OK. Food was fine without being outstanding. This is very much a spal/business conference type of hotel so perhaps not really what we expected as all our other accommodation was more homely. That said, if you are looking for a relaxing spa break then I am sure it would be ideal.

Stayed over a weekend to relax and to enjoy the Black Forest. Staff is ready to go the extra mile to make you happy. They have a main house where rooms, the spa, the fitness room and the restaurant are. If you have a chance to stay there I would recommend that to you. Rooms are all very nice and are decorated in the pretty farm style. They offer you a couple of extras for the spa like towels, a bathrobe and a little basket. The restaurant offers quite a variety and it is delicious. Wireless is not working everywhere, but if you need it you're going to find a spot.close to the hotel there are quite a few walking paths and all other famous sights of the black forest can be reached easily. Don't forget to bring a car otherwise the hotel and walking is all you're going to do.

We had great expectations with this hotel and have to say that it met every one of them! We paid for an upgraded room which proved to be excellent value for money as it gave us a superb, comfortable living space with log burner (not needed thankfully), seating area and a balcony overlooking the hills and forests around us. This is in a recent extension to the hotel and everything was in perfect condition - bath, walk-in shower, separate lavatory, plenty of cupboard space, a huge TV and the usual double bed made of two, joined singles. The standard of cleanliness and equipment was excellent; the room was well serviced every day, with good quality, fresh towels - including separate 'Sauna towels' for the swimming pool and fresh bed-linen mid week. Dressing gowns and slippers were provided too.
The pool itself was fabulous with open views over the rolling, forested hills and again, standards of upkeep and quality of equipment were first class. There is a gymnasium and wellness suite, which we didn't use, but had a look around and could see that they were the same, high quality establishments you would expect.
We stayed for a week on their special package rate, which included breakfast and a 5 course dinner every night. I am gluten intolerant and they went out of their way to provide me with food that met my needs. Every night was well presented with excellent dishes, aimed at providing good nutrition balanced with taste. We could not fault any of the food on offer. One night was a 'Fondue' night which was great fun and there was also a 'help-yourself' buffet night which was perfect. All in all the catering was a delight.
The staff were friendly and efficient and always on hand to help if needed, making the entire vacation a pleasure from start to finish. We will go back - in fact, we didn't want to leave!

Room Tip: Room upgrades are very well worth the extra money for the size, flexibility and views.

We stayed for 6 nights in this pleasant and family owned hotel. 1o people / 3 double rooms and 3 single rooms in total. All our people were very happy with the rooms. Clean, nice. Also the single rooms are spacious. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet area. Wifi in lobby area. Breakfast very good. Every night an excellent 5 course menu. Good variety. Nice wellness and swimming pool. On a rainy day you can play table-tennis, billard, Tischfußball. Nice green area with enough sightseeing possibilities (DOM Blasien, Sauschwanzlebahn, Bad sackingen etc.). Really nice stay.
