can anyone who has been to stay at this hotel clear up a question that i have been wondering about and have read on other websites but has still yet to be answered
the beach states 1km away on most websites some saying further away then that
as we have 2 small kiddies is there a short cut? or can we access the beach from the hotel as it does look like the hotel is right in the seafront
any answers will be much appreciated
also we have already booked this hotel and im really worried now after reading some of the comments is it really as bad as they say or have these people got really high expectations and this holiday will suite a family of four who just want to go for the kiddies to swim and to soak up the sun?

the only real positive is the location, right ont he divide of las americas and los christianos. we were placed in this hotel last min due to hotel we booked having a sudden refit ??? some staff ok but most obviously had attitudes... food very samey and if it wasnt for noodleman we prob would've eaten out every day... went to gran tinerfe up the road for pool or beach as couldn't move round pool as SO many sunbeds... Entertainment apalling. Spa so expensive. However after all this we still LOVE TENERIFE...

I booked a cheap getaway to the sun with a friend to relax and sunbathe basically without any hassle. This hotel allowed that and did what it said on the tin. Great location on the beach front close to restaurants but away from the horrid tacky bars. Range of guests - all ages and nationalities which was good. Nice large pool area and we had no issue with sunbeds but i understand this is not always the case. You may need to get up early to get one! Hotel room did not resemble anything on the website and was disappointing even for the cheap price. It was clean and we had a nice view of the sea but it was really small and basic and needed updating. The hotel reception was being updated as was the bar area and so perhaps the older rooms will be next. Restaurant was again as you would expect for a huge hotel catering for the masses - like a canteen but not that bad really again for the cheap price and lots of choice. Big plus was the attitude and friendliness of the staff. We used the spa and had some treatments - again not the best but ok but they were busy and we felt rushed. Didnt watch the entertainment as not my thing but be warned you can hear it until midnight. It seemed to cater for the older generation in terms of style. Not a 4 star hotel - more like a 3 star but suitable for a cheap holiday in the sun which is what you go to Tenerife for afterall, and would recommend it if thats all you were after.

Before I start I muss stress that I haven´t stayed in a four star hotel for several years, but the privilege ethos sounded tempting. The priilege lounge facilities are first class with a free bar which caters for all tastes. The area is decorated with a modern feel and is extremly comfortable. So now you read this and think it sounds great, but unfortunately we have to discuss the bad aspects. The single most issue are the sun beds. To be blunt there is not enough to cater for demand, this coupled with the normal problem of reserving beds with towels for the whole day but using them only for an hour. The privilege idea is great, but a hotel must do what it says on the packet.
Now for my second complaint which is actually two complaints firstly the rooms are small and secondly the beds are very hard.
Now my comments on other aspects; the food, breakfast is perfectly adequate with a good selection to satisfy all tastes, lunch is okay but dinner is a little bland.
I suppose now it´s time for the million dollar question? would I stay in the hotel again? well the answers quite simple, improve the sun bed situation and yes I probably would, after all I don´t come on holiday to chase around for a sun bed.

We paid extra for a sea view and had a fantastic room with a large balcony and sun beds with mattresses as well as parasol and table and chairs. We realise our holiday was made special by having a good room and would not have been as pleased with others overlooking the road or in the shade so well worth it to us paying extra. The hotel is in a great central location and the staff were helpful and courteous. We were surprised at having to que for tables in the restaurant but staff were very attentive and seated us quickly. The food quality and choice were excellent ,with chefs preparing much of it to your request as you watched them. There are a lot of different nationalities using this hotel and although we didn't stay for all the evening entertainment, what we did see was a good mixture of interesting acts catering for all the family. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future but hope we get the same room!
