After travelling for nine hours the last thing you want is to queue for 45 minutes to book in, the reception staff were obviously understaffed and not at all welcoming or very helpful. Although the variety of food was very varied and plentiful, it was all luke warm, especially at dinner time. The pool area is over crowded and there was the usual placing of towels on the best loungers. The rooms were very basic, however they were clean. The evening entertainment was so bad it was funny. How people can go back there year after year I do not understand, they must have much lower standards than I have. Thank goodness I met some lovely guests there who made the whole experience a good one. The hotel is in an excellent position. I will not be going back, we had gone out there to do a recky for our Christmas vacation, we will return to Tenerife but not to this hotel.

I am very grateful that you have taken some of your valuable time to let us know your personal opinion about our Hotel and the service that we provide. Your valued comments and suggestions are our basis for improvement, and allow us to ensure that your stay will be an enjoyable experience every time that you honour us with a visit.

I would like to inform you that I am personally looking into the aspects that you found unsatisfactory. Unfortunately our guests arrive to our hotel with busses in large groups, which makes the Check In procedure a little bit difficult. We will work harder in order to improve our friendliness that you mention in this area. About the temperature of the food we have not received negative comments from other guests so far. We have always a Restaurant Manager available at all times during service hours. If a guest notices any kind of problem we would like to know immediately, in order to take actions that can solve the problem.

I understand your disappointment with the experience you have had in our hotel, but it would have been very helpful for you and for us if we would have known about this situation before. We always try to solve uncomfortable situations when they occur. Questioning the standards, expectations and experiences of other guests that have enjoyed their stay in our hotel is not very adequate. In my opinion you comments are offensive to other TRIPADVISOR members.

However, please accept once again my apologies because we were not able to offer the service you expected. I have used your comments to address the staff and we have done a workshop based on your words.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. The rooms have all been good, many with excellent sea and mountain views. The location is great! Right by the sea, with miles of easy walking and good wheel-chair access.
The food at Conquistador is good, plentiful and well varied to suit all tastes.
Relaxation by the pool or in the piano bar is a always a delight. Many activities are available for young and old. A real plus is the opportunity to dine out of doors (weather permitting).
The only down-side is the length of time arriving guests have to wait for the very detailled reception procedure. On one occasion we arrived in good time for lunch, but by the time we had registered the dining room was closed. Despite this I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, well fed and well located holiday.

Room Tip: Rooms on the nothwest aspect have the best sea and mountain views.

Very good well run hotel, standard rooms are pretty basic but have all that is needed. Staff were very good, friendly and helpful. All inclusive was quite confusing, but this not the hotel's problem.
Food was good, the lunch was better than the dinner, less of a scrum, but always enough to go round.
The position of the hotel was just about perfect, on the beach and close to the centre of the town, just a short walk to anything you might want in Tenerife and out of the way enough to dodge any crowds.

Room Tip: If you like "sundowners" on the balcony ask for centre or right hand block with pool view.

Strategic location, quiet despite being in the heart of Playa de las Americas, great Atlantic view, next to all the "places 2 be" in Tenerife.Last but not least, excellent service and exquisite food!Looking forward to go back ASAP!

Room Tip: 5th floor was quiet and had great views!

Just returned (party of 6 various ages) from a weeks stay on half board. Great location and a very clean and modern hotel. Would definitely upgrade room on next visit, but did have a lovely view of the sea and mountains. The hotel was very busy and the food was excellant. However, not enough staff in the dining room with no one to show you where to sit and it took quite a while for them to clear the plates also not very friendly, probably because they did'nt have the time.Minor faults:- Pool not as clean as it could be and the pool table around the bar was out of order. All pool and bar staff very friendly and helpfull. Would definitely return again and hope that next time that there was an increase in dining staff.

Room Tip: Would recommend an upgrade from the standard room.
